Mr. Sam Okudzeto is the founding partner of the firm. Sam is a stalwart in the Ghanaian and international legal arena. Sam has over fifty (50) years of experience in the legal field, beginning with a law degree from Kings College, London University (1961). Sam was called to the English Bar at Inner Temple in 1963 and in the same year the Ghana Bar. Throughout a long and illustrious career, Sam has picked up a few credentials for himself, some of which are: Corporation of Secretaries (Final Certificate) 1958; Licentiate Membership, 1959; College of Europe, Diploma of Advanced European Studies, 1963; Fellow Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators 1972; Notary Public,1975; Senior Advocate of Ghana (SAG.), 1990; Member: Chartered Institute of Arbitration 1999. Sam is a member of the International Bar Association and the Commonwealth Lawyers Association. He is a Past President of the Ghana Bar Association and the President of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators and the Association of Recognized Professional Bodies (Ghana). Sam was a member of the management board of the International Bar Association and was the Chairman of the Credentials Committee. In 2005, Sam was honoured by the American Bar Association when he was elected as an International Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. The International Bar Association also honoured Sam as an Honorary Life Member of the Association. Sam is a Rotarian and served on the Board of Rotary International, where he was the Chairman of the Executive Committee. Sam was also the Trustee Vice-Chair of the Rotary Foundation. Sam has served his country in many capacities including his membership of the Constituent Assembly that drafted the 1969 constitution. Sam was also a member of parliament from 1969-1972. Sam served as Chairman of the Ghana/Togo Border Demarcation Commission, and he was the Chairman of the Accra Sports Stadium Disaster Commission. Victoria is the Managing Partner and head of Litigation and Dispute Resolution at Sam Okudzeto & Associates, a leading law firm in Ghana. She started her career in 2002 as an Assistant State Attorney in the Civil Division of the Attorney-General’s Department and transitioned to private practice in 2003 as a junior associate with Sam Okudzeto & Associates. A seasoned trial lawyer, Victoria advocates for the interests of a wide range of clients before the Superior Courts of Ghana. Her practice focuses on dispute resolution through civil litigation and arbitration, providing specialist services on general corporate, labour, commercial and land litigation. She teaches Advocacy and Legal Ethics at the Ghana School of Law and is a member of the ICC Task Force “Addressing Issues of Corruption in International Arbitration.” Victoria employs a pragmatic and diligent approach to her clients’ needs and is well respected within the legal community for delivering the best outcome both in litigation and through alternative dispute resolution mechanisms. The partner-in-charge of the tax team, Eric holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Political Science from the University of Ghana, a Qualifying Certificate in Law from the Ghana School of Law, a Certificate in Business Tax and Modernizing Tax Administration from the University of Pretoria and a Postgraduate Certificate in Legislative Drafting from the Ghana School of Law and the Commonwealth Secretariat. He was called to the Ghana Bar as a lawyer in 1998 and specializes in Tax Law.  Eric has worked for a considerable number of years with the Internal Revenue Authority and the Ghana Revenue Authority as a tax lawyer responsible for the negotiation of tax treaties, as well as a specialist in the tax aspects of Bilateral Investment Treaties.  Additionally, he is also a specialist in tax legislation and played a major role in the drafting of the new tax laws for the Ghana Revenue Authority. Esine Okudzeto Deputy Managing Partner 
Esine is the Deputy Managing Partner and heads one of the firm’s Corporate/ Commercial law teams. Her focus is on Mergers and Acquisitions, Capital Markets, Oil and Gas law, Corporate Law, Commercial law, Labour law, Intellectual Property and Arbitration. Esine has performed due diligence for several international clients and has advised several others on mergers and acquisitions in Ghana. Esine played a leading role in a Fortune 500 company’s acquisition of Unilever Plc’s oil palm business in Ghana. Esine was also the lead transactional advisor for the creation of a joint venture that set up a cargo hub, a warehouse, and a handling service at the Kotoka International Airport. In all these transactions, Esine was instrumental in the incorporation of companies, the negotiation and drafting of licensing agreements, the drafting of shareholders agreements, the drafting of leases and company regulations, the registration of trademarks, the registration of leases, as well as advising on tax and labour issues. Esine is a board member of Sena Chartered Secretaries Ltd., the firm’s sister company that specializes in company secretarial and investment consultancy. Esine serves as a corporate secretary for various clients, where she attends board meetings and advises companies on their corporate responsibilities and powers. She also helps corporations with filing relevant documents in compliance with the Company’s Act of Ghana. Esine is also a Board member of the Ghana Oil Club and Conship. She teaches as an adjunct lecturer in Advocacy and Legal Ethics at the Ghana School of Law. In 2006, Esine clerked for Justice Akua Kuenyehia at the International Criminal Court at The Hague. She has also served on the Rules of Court Committee of the Judicial Service where she helped in establishing procedure rules for legal proceedings in the District Court, the Court of Appeal and Commissions of Inquiry. Isaac Ofosu-Boateng Partner
Isaac was educated at the University of Ghana where he graduated in 1998 with second class honours in English. Subsequently, he obtained an LLB degree in 2006 from the University of Ghana where he graduated top of his class. He subsequently attended the Ghana School of Law in 2006 and was called to the bar in 2008. He has to his credit, the 2008 Best Student in the Law of Evidence as well as the 2008 Best student in Legal Ethics and Advocacy from the Ghana School of Law. Prior to being called to the bar, Isaac was the National Registrar at the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ). He started his legal career as an Assistant Legal Officer with CHRAJ where he investigated and wrote decisions regarding complaints of human rights violations and administrative injustices. Isaac has won several judgments including a case against an automobile company regarding a car sale contract.  Isaac specialises in corporate and commercial practice, as well as litigation. He is the partner-in-charge of one of the firm’s litigation teams. Isaac is a fellow of the DANIDA Fellowship Centre and has a certificate in Conflict Management obtained from the DANISH HUMAN RIGHTS CENTRE. He was a member of the team that represented Ghana in the Phillip C. Dominic Brenya-Otchere Partner
Dominic joined Sam Okudzeto & Associates after he was called to the bar in 2008. His areas of practice are Civil Litigation, Property, Commercial/Corporate Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Immigration and Labour and Industrial Law. He was a member of the team that litigated and won the landmark case of Nii Tetteh Kpobi Tsuru v Nii Ago-Saii. He participated in the Commercial Court Mediators Training Programme in 2011 and the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Competition in 2008 in Washington DC, USA. Dominic was the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) President of the Ghana School of Law in 2007/8. Melisa AmarteifioPartner
Melisa Amarteifio is a partner at Sam Okudzeto & Associates where she commenced and honed her practice skills when she joined the firm in 2011. Her areas of focus are civil litigation, property law, tax law, commercial law, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Intellectual Property. Her recent work for the firm includes advising and managing the due diligence process for an asset purchase acquisition transaction on behalf of a multinational manufacturing company. She has also undertaken due diligence and advisement regarding the acquisition of an Oil Palm business by a fortune 500 company where she provided crucial legal advice on the structuring of the transaction to ensure compliance with the rules of the Ghana Stock Exchange. Melisa also acted as associate counsel representing a rubber production company in a multi-million-euro arbitration where she successfully secured an arbitral award in favour of her client.   Melisa is a member of the Public Education and Outreach Committee of the Ghana Bar Association and until 2016 was the Ghana Bar Association’s Representative on the Rules of Court Committee where she helped in the amendment of civil procedure rules for lower and superior Courts of Ghana. She was recently appointed to a committee set up by the Ghana Bar Association on the instructions of the Judicial Service to advise on technology-driven reforms of civil and criminal procedure rules in all courts.   Melisa obtained her LLB from the University of Warwick and was admitted to practice law in Ghana in 2011. Melisa loves to travel and explore new cultures. Benedicta AkitaSenior Associate
Benedicta was admitted to the Ghana Bar in 2015 and started her legal career as a pupil at Sam Okudzeto & Associates. She holds an LLM in Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa from the University of Pretoria, South Africa and an LLB from the University of Ghana, Legon. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Ghana, Legon. Her interest in Human Rights developed during her national service with the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ). At CHRAJ she acquired skills in mediation and advocacy on women and children’s rights. At the Faculty of Law, University of Ghana, she coordinated and participated in several moots; including the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition held in 2011 at Washington DC, USA and the African Human Rights Moot Court Competition held in 2011 in Pretoria, South Africa. Prior to her enrollment at the Ghana School of Law, she interned with the Human Rights Advocacy Centre in Accra, where she had the opportunity to run human rights projects and provide practical solutions to daily human rights issues. Her strong research skills earned her the opportunity to work on different projects both at home and abroad. Nana Akosua Korankye-AnkrahSenior Associate
In 2010, Nana Akosua graduated from McMaster University, majoring in Communication Studies and Sociology. Her introduction to the law profession began that same year when she undertook an internship at Georgette Francois and Associates.    Nana Akosua started her legal journey at Sam Okudzeto & Associates as an intern in 2013 after completing her LLB at the University of Ghana and officially joined the firm in 2016. Since joining the firm, Nana Akosua has had experience in a wide range of areas including Corporate Litigation, Arbitration, Insurance, Labour Law and Land Law and has acquired experience in those areas. Darkoa Akrofi-AmanorSenior Associate
Darkoa graduated from the University of Ghana in 2010 with a Second-Class honor (Upper Division) in Psychology. She subsequently obtained an LL. B degree from Mountcrest University College, Accra in 2014. She was admitted to the Ghana School of Law in 2014 and was called to the Ghana Bar in 2016. Prior to her Call to the bar, Darkoa interned with Sam Okudzeto & Associates and officially joined the firm in 2016. Her interests include Company and Commercial Law practice, Banking and Insurance Law and Industrial and Labor Law. Darkoa is an avid reader. She loves mystery novels and adventure movies. Nana Osei Adutwum Senior Associate
Nana Osei Adutwum was admitted to the Ghana Bar in 2016 and joined the firm as a pupil shortly after his call. He is currently an associate of one of the litigation teams of the firm. His practice areas cover mainly civil and corporate litigation.  His areas of interest include; Maritime Law, corporate and commercial law, insurance, property/land law, banking law, family law and applying ADR mechanisms to resolve disputes.  He holds an LLM with a distinction in International Maritime Law from the International Maritime Law Institute, Malta, and an LLB from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. He has a keen interest in Maritime Law and Dispute Resolution Mechanisms which led to his enrolment as a member of Young ICCA.  He also participated in a summer course with Leitner Institute of Law, Fordham University, USA, where he attained a certificate in Human Rights Law. He has experience in property, employment, and commercial disputes, particularly in the manufacturing, real estate, and construction sectors. His recent work includes advising the architects of a multi-million construction project in Ghana on their rights under a FIDIC White Book Contract. He has also successfully represented a client in a US$4 million property dispute against a leading construction company in Ghana. He has considerable international experience having been actively involved in the International Bar Association (IBA). In 2018, he was awarded the IBA Law Firm Management Committee/Africa Regional Forum Scholarship at its annual conference in Rome, Italy. He has also served as the Ghana National Representative of the IBA’s Young Lawyers Committee (YLC) and the African Regional Forum Liaison Officer of the IBA YLC. The firm is well versed in the practice of Commercial Arbitration. The senior partner of the firm was the one of the leading personalities who played a critical role in the establishment of the Ghana Arbitration Centre, the first of its kind in the country. Isaac Aburam Lartey is a Senior Associate at Sam Okudzeto & Associates where he focuses on litigation and dispute resolution. He has experience in property, employment, and commercial disputes, particularly in the manufacturing, real estate, and construction sectors. His recent work includes advising the architects of a multi-million construction project in Ghana on their rights under a FIDIC White Book Contract. He has also successfully represented a client in a US$4 million property dispute against a leading construction company in Ghana. He has considerable international experience having been actively involved in the International Bar Association (IBA).
